Chenyu Zhao is the Co-Founder of Fireworks AI, where over the past three years he has led the core infrastructure team in building reliable, scalable systems that power one of the world’s leading open-source AI training and inference platforms.

Before founding Fireworks AI, Chenyu spent nearly a decade at Google as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where he co-founded Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform and led a 50-person engineering team developing state-of-the-art AutoML, MLOps, and Explainable AI solutions. He also headed the machine learning team behind Google’s multibillion-dollar mobile ads business, driving innovations in large-scale modeling, ad auction algorithms, and ML infrastructure.
