Igor Markov is a Distinguished Architect at Synopsys in the AI Innovation group. He previously worked at Google on Search and at Meta on AI Infrastructure. During his years as a Professor at the University of Michigan, 12 Ph.D. degrees were completed under his guidance. In the 2012 ACM Computing Classification System, he was responsible for the Computing Hardware tree. In 2014, Dr. Markov taught at Stanford as a visiting professor. Dr. Markov won five Best Paper awards at leading conferences and journals. He is a Fellow of IEEE and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. Additionally, Dr. Markov is a director at Nova Ukraine – a nonprofit that delivered tens of millions of dollars worth of aid to war-stricken Ukraine.
